Happy Holidays!  A picture of last year's Christmas tree at my parent's house.  With a little swirl and a couple of fun camera settings, it's a WOOSH of holiday spirit from me to you!

A great example of how each photo is open to interpretation.

This reminds me of a MadMen-esque time & place.  However it could just as easily be "futuristic or a throwback to atomic bomb shelters" (quote - Grandad).

The photo was actually taken after the CN Tower climb, people milling about post-climb.  But I open it up to all of you to create your own story behind it.

What is your definition art?  Is it something encased in a four-sided frame?  Hung on a wall to be "oohed" and "ahhed" at?  Or...can it be open to interpretation?

Walking through the ROM and seeing its architectural angles, I realized my opinion is the latter.

It's amazing how easily you can connect with someone if you slow down, look someone in the eyes...and listen.  Little Amy's already got it down.

Are you sick of airplane shots yet?  If so, bear with me for one more day.  I love the explosion of light and how the uppermost corner of sky looks almost black without the cloud interference.

Doesn't this make you want to reach out and swoosh those clouds around?

Continuing with the airplane theme, here's a shot of the sunrise over Vietnam (can I get a "Good Morning Vietnam!"??).  The beginning of a travel day over three countries including:

3 international flights
1 4am taxi van
1 tuk-tuk
1 bar (the clear destination point)

Ahhh international travel...

Ahh airplane shots.  For some reason these always give me a broader perspective of these little lives we live in.  We truly are all connected.

This is actually a picture of the band Vampire Weekend during their show this past Spring.  Playing around with a few settings, I captured this swirl of music being made.

A rare moment when two very different words can connect.  These little beauties were floating around with not a care in the world.  Ahh the life of a fish.

Socializing or selling.  Working hard or relaxing.  Whichever way you look at it, daily life on the other side of the globe can most definitely be described as...very different.  I feel privileged to have experienced some small glimpse of it.

Adding a little touch of one of my favorite holidays.  This was captured while visiting the cousins for a weekend away at the local corn maze / pumpkin patch.

I love seeing kids trying to be grown ups and the joy it gives them.  You'll get there soon enough Aidan...enjoy the ride.

Incense burning cones at a Buddhist temple we visited.  I love how the light cascades through and catches the burning smoke.

A surpising serenity among the chaos.

Aww pup.  Old, young...it doesn't matter.  Is there anything better than a creature who just wants to be your friend all day asking for nothing in return?  You're so cool Allie.

An absolutely beautiful seaside art town.  I sometimes wish MTV didn't shove it into the spotlight; but then if that were the case, I may not have ventured down on this March trip to Southern California and would have missed this beautiful sunset.  So alas, all is well.
